Engineering Acoustics, Inc. (EAI) began operations in 1991 as a privately held corporation, providing R&D services, engineering and custom product fabrication from their facility in Winter Park, Florida. As of recent, EAI has moved into their new facility in Casselberry, Florida.

EAI traces its lineage through staff experience to a prestigious list of institutions and firms, including TRI, Marine Resources, Inc., Actran, Sparton Corporation, NUWC, and the Naval Research Lab.

The initial focus of EAI was underwater transducer design, with a heavy emphasis on theoretical acoustics, modeling and R&D. Through the years, EAI has grown to become the leading source of specialty transducer and sensor technology supporting a wide range of markets from oceanography to medical and entertainment.

Although EAI offers a line of standard products, all orders are custom built to customer specifications. EAI's strength lies in the ability to quickly understand customer needs, converting those needs into hardware requirements and finally into delivered product. EAI also performs research and development, feasibility studies, and modeling services.
