ELECTRICAL/MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY & SOLDERING TECHNICIAN

Research & Development Engineering Company seeks a motivated Technician to assist in the assembly of electronic and mechanical components and systems. Prior work in technical or manufacturing environment is desirable.

Skills Required:

• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Strong work ethic.
• Some computer skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assemble electronic, mechanical and /or electromechanical system components.
• Follow blueprints.
• Apply epoxies and/or fasteners using hand and automated tools.
• Perform complex soldering.
• Perform test activities.
• Document all work performed in a detailed and organized manner.
• Recognize and communicate process deviations.
• Track progress and report to management.

Required Education & Experience:
Prior experience required in manufacture and assembly of electronic, mechanical and/or electromechanical systems and components. Applicable Technical or Associate Degree or 3 to 5 years experience as an Assembly Technician or Engineering Assistant.

Other Specialized Qualifications:
Candidate must be able to work with chemicals used for cleaning and preparing electronic and mechanical parts for assembly, and needs to be able to lift and move larger components.
